Field Service Technician
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing customer support to our customers, must have a strong customer presence! You will conduct preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, training, and start up assistance as needed to new existing customers at various sites in the NY/NJ area. A company vehicle will be provided. Prior troubleshooting experience is required as well as the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
This position requires the following:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical School Training and/or an Associates Degree or higher is preferred.
- Must possess a clean driving record
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of industrial electricity/electronic interface devices.
- Must possess mechanical aptitude/pneumatics/hydraulics.
- Knowledge of motor controls and the ability to install motors (motors can weigh up to 125 lbs.).
- Must be proficient with Windows based PC and have the ability to load and integrate software.
- Ability to use hand tools, a tachometer, a multimeter and various other tools used to perform repairs and maintenance on customers systems.
- Ability to get in and out of the carousels for maintenance.
- Ability to drive long distances and still be able to perform the required duties.
- In some instances travel by air may be required.
